How to download applicant resumes from a LinkedIn job post

To save attached CVs in bulk, open the applicant list for a job you manage, run Resume Downloader, and review the files alongside its CSV index. Your account must already have access to each resume.

1. Check that you are on a supported applicant page

Open LinkedIn Hiring or Hiring Pro and select the Applicants page for a job you posted or manage. This is the employer view where you can open an applicant and see an attached resume. General profile searches, Recruiter and Recruiter Lite are different interfaces and are not supported by this extension.

Open one applicant manually before starting. If LinkedIn does not show a resume or your account cannot access it, a downloader cannot recover that missing attachment. Apply the filters you want before exporting, and check that the visible list is the one you intend to save.

2. Install the extension and start the export

1. Install Resume Downloader for LinkedIn Hiring from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Refresh the LinkedIn applicant page after installation.
3. Choose individual PDFs or ZIP in the extension popup. For a large applicant list, use individual PDFs to reduce browser memory use.
4. Click Download resumes by the applicant table and keep the page open while it works.
5. If Chrome asks to allow multiple downloads, allow them for this export so the individual files can save.

The extension runs in your existing signed-in session. You do not need to give Waslio your LinkedIn password. It processes available resume attachments and records file status in an index.

3. Review the downloaded files and index.csv

Individual files save under Downloads/Resumes/<job>/. The numbered filenames help you match a document to its row in index.csv. ZIP mode groups files and the index into an archive.

Open the CSV in your spreadsheet app and check the file status column. The number of saved PDFs can be lower than the applicant count because some applicants have no accessible attachment. Open a few PDFs to confirm the export before sharing the folder with a colleague.

The CSV is a file index. An ATS may have its own required columns and import process; check those requirements before importing applicant data or documents.

4. Handle missing resumes and interrupted downloads

The applicant page becomes blank or asks me to sign in

Stop the export and check the LinkedIn tab. Complete any normal sign-in or account check yourself, then confirm the applicant list loads before resuming. Repeatedly restarting against a blocked or empty page will not restore access. The extension does not bypass LinkedIn account restrictions.

The browser slows down during a large export

Use individual PDFs for the next export instead of collecting everything into a ZIP. Close unused tabs, keep the applicant tab available, and avoid starting multiple exports at once. Retain already saved files while you check the export status.

An applicant has no PDF

Check its status in the CSV and open that applicant manually. A missing attachment and an interrupted download are different cases. If a resume is visible manually but repeatedly fails to save, contact support with the extension version and error text. Do not include candidate resumes in a support request.

I stopped halfway through

Return to the same job and use the saved export's resume option. Review the index after the export finishes so you know which files were saved and which still need attention.

Keep downloaded resumes in an access-controlled location appropriate for your hiring process. LinkedIn's terms and your organization's candidate-data retention requirements still apply.
